Day 5 – Jurassic Experience

And just like that its our final day in Bangkok. We didn’t have an early start and hence had a “lazier” morning which gave us a chance to start repacking for our onward journey. After breakfast we took a “Grab” to the Jurassic World Experience. Set up on multiple levels, combining videos with animatronics, it realistically simulates the atmosphere of the famous movies. We started on a “boat” being taken to the Jurassic island and then worked our way through different rooms which replayed key parts of the movie. The staff/rangers were all in character and got everyone running around hiding from the dinosaurs. One kid got totally freaked out halfway through and would not be convinced to keep going forward.

Lunch was included as part of the experience and we went to a similar themed restaurant. It was a pretty simple meal of burger, slushy and ice cream, however they decided to send the ice cream as entree – which Thomas didn’t seem to mind at all.

We headed back to the hotel and had an afternoon siesta as it would be a late night tonight. Our car came to collect us at 7 to take us to the airport which took a full hour. Emily was again in-charge of getting us through check in, immigration and security and did a stellar job. They have opened a whole new terminal which is serviced by a train that takes almost 15 minutes to get to. Unfortunately once we got there we realised that it was so new that they hadn’t opened any of the lounges yet. So we trapsed back to the main terminal for dinner before boarding.

Next stop Vienna.
