The one place Matthew really wanted to visit was IHOP for pancakes. There was one close to our hotel in San Francisco so we decided to go there for breakfast today. They had pancakes served every which way with multiple toppings and additions. Emily and Thomas got chocolate pancakes while the boys and I both had buttermilk pancakes with eggs and sausages. It was an interesting breakfast but not one we will do again.

After breakfast we got picked up to take us to the airport for our flight to Seattle. The flight was uneventful and pleasant. The seats all had entertainment so the kids were able to watch movies and play games. They even had live TV so I watched CNN.

We had spectacular views of Mt Rainier as we got close to Seattle and we were sitting on the right side of the place to get some awesome photos. The hotel we are staying at has complementary drinks and nibbles in the afternoon so we unwound after the flight there.

We meet Devinder and his family for dinner at a local Thai restaurant. His mum was there as well and it was lovely to see her after over 30 years. The kids all seemed to get along really well and it was a great evening of catching up with old friends….
