We were out the door even earlier today at 6.45, ready for a day at Disneyland. Things didn’t start well when we got stopped by security for having a selfie stick, which wasn’t allowed in the park. I needed to make a mad dash back to our room and then run back to the park to join the others. I made good time and didn’t even miss any rides.

Once again RideMax worked it’s magic and we went ride to ride with hardly any waiting time. There were rides that suited each and every one of us. Thomas really enjoyed Autopia where he could drive around a track by himself. He had trouble reaching the accelerator but managed the rest by himself. Matthew was in his element in the Star Wars rides and you could feel his excitement as we entered that section of the park. Ben, on the other hand, was the best at locating hidden Mickey’s everywhere, from rock formations to signs and doors. Emily loved the boat rides, especially Pirates of the Caribbean.

The Star Wars section was, without doubt, the highlight of the day. Some of the rides were extraordinary and the attention to detail in all the landscape was phenomenal. We did a few Star Wars rides and each was better than the previous. The Smugglers Run ride required us to nominate two pilots, two gunners and two engineers. Working together we needed to fly the millennium Falcon while evading the enemy. It was exhilarating to say the least.
The Rise of the Resistance was a new ride that has recently been launched and was incredible. It takes almost 20 minutes and involves multiple interactions with some of the key characters of the franchise. The scale of the production, sets and number of cast needed had to be seen to be believed. It was the greatest theme park ride we have ever experienced.

Throughout the day we enjoyed running into various Disney characters and getting our photos taken with them. They all stay in character and interact as if they are playing the part.
ohhhhhhhmmmyyyyyygooodnessssssssss! That was absolutely phenomenal. I sure missed this one! Ohhhhhh my God. That’s the bestest ride ever, that was insane Ron. LOVED the photos… The video blew my mind! 👌👌👌
