Even with only about 4 hours sleep the kids were all up and ready for the day. The excitement of being in India and spending the day with Dadu and Dida had them bouncing off the walls. They also got to accompany them to the shops while I unpacked and was able to convince them to buy them some treats along the way.
Most of the day was spent getting over the long day of flying and travelling. The kids set up our travelling Christmas tree and put up some decorations in the balcony. We also had a lazy movie afternoon watching “Leo”, which was a recommendation from Matthew. We only watched the first half and given the shrieks of laughter it was obviously a good choice.

The afternoon was spent celebrating my mums birthday. The kids had gone with Dadu in the morning to get her a cake and we supplemented it with a singing candle. Unfortunately the music could not be turned off and I think we just have to wait till the battery runs out. For dinner we went to Chowmans for Indo-Chinese. The kids were extremely tired as their body clocks hadn’t acclimatised yet. They were falling asleep sitting up at the restaurant.
