#A Luau-vely Evening

We are back in Honolulu and docked first thing in the morning. Our transfer to the hotel want without its issues but was nothing major. More importantly our hotel check-in was a breeze with the rooms ready and waiting for us. We are on almost the to floor with the spacious rooms which means all the kids can get their own beds.

We let everyone relax in the morning and went down to a sports bar for lunch. This bar is reputed to have more beers on tap than any other bar in the world.

On the evening I had booked for us all to attend Germaine’s Luau which is reputed to be the best Luau in Hawaii. It was an hour long bus ride, most of it was our driver telling us all the rules based on the colour of your wristband. Americans love to make things complicated.

The Luau itself was a great experience. We had prime seats for the shows and we also got to see them pull the pig out of the pit. The shows were quite interactive and ask the kids were up on stage at some stage learning to Hula. The entire setting was outdoors and on the beach. Thomas had a blast just running around all evening while Emily made a friend from California and they played together.

The drive back seemed longer but Thomas promptly feel asleep. Emily and I, however learnt the Hang Loose song and sang it over and over again.
