#Last Day

Today is our last full day on the cruise and second day in Nawiliwili. We didn’t have anything specific booked so decided to take the shuttle into a beach nearby. The water looked absolutely pristine and bluer than I have ever seen it. The waves, however, were quite brutal. The beach got pretty deep pretty quickly and the ferocity of the waves knocked us over. Ben rented a stand up paddle boat and went out into the waters while Matthew rented a snorkel set and looked at fish in the bay.

After a couple of hours of swimming we stopped at a shaved ice shop for refreshments which everyone loved.

On the afternoon Emily got to perform in a talent show on the cruise ship. She, and a few others her age, got their faces painted as tigers and roared all over stage.

Late in the afternoon the ship sailed past the mountain ranges in the North of Kauai and they are the most unique and magnificient ranges I have seen. It was formed by volcanic eruptions a long time ago and look totally uninhabited. It is hard to describe but it exists in layers with thick vegetation riding up straight from the beaches.
