#Force of Nature
One of the sights I have been most looking forward to this trip has been to see the active volcano. Unfortunately when we were in the Big Island all roads leading to the volcano we closed so we didn’t get closed. Then all the volcano tours we had booked on the cruise got cancelled as well. Fortunately or ship sailed along the east coast of the Big Island tonight and we got a glimpse of the molten leave flowing into the ocean. The photo doesn’t do justice to the sheer size, magnitude and impressiveness of the view. We got to see lava bubbling out of the mountain and then flowing across over a couple of kilometres before running into the ocean. The Sky was bright red and the was a flow visible from quite a distance. It would have to be one of the most unique things I have seen this far in my life, up the with the Northern Lights.
