Barks, Parks and Forks

After the chocolate tour we went to the Brisbane Arts Theatre to watch a stage performance of the 101 Dalmatians. It was an amateur performance however the kids seemed to love it. Thomas slept through the first act and wouldn’t sit still through the second so I walked around with him outside. Post performance the entire cast were available for photos and autographs. They stayed in character and even signed their stage names.

After the show we went to the Roma Street Parkland which is a huge garden in the middle of the city. It also has play equipment for the kids of varying ages. We spent a couple of hours at the park to burn off some of the chocolate energy.

I had organised dinner at a Southern American Creole restaurant, as that is a cuisine we don’t normally get in Canberra. The place was quite well rated on TripAdvisor however it was average at best. We got a few meals to share that included soft shell crabs, crocodile, arancini balls and gumbo. Most of it lacked flavour however the kids didn’t seem to mind it.
