The Longest Walk
Yesterday was quite a long day as we left at breakfast time and didn’t return till after dinner. Today we decided to let Thomas have a sleep in the room in the morning and left around lunch time instead. We spent the afternoon at Science Centre and even had a play in the dinosaur park. Thomas got up and close and even patted the huge Stegasaur.
While Tom had another sleep the others watched an electricity show. They were in the first row and got picked by the host to participate on stage. They held hands and formed a human circuit.
There was a running track indoors where you could time yourself against Australia’s champion sprinter. The boys conspired and figured out how to rig the system to end up with the best times in the world.
I had organised a German restaurant for dinner, which according to Google maps was only a 30 minute walk from the Science Centre. I didn’t take into account the fact that we had a pram and Emily and 2 very tired boys. It took us almost an hour of walking to get there. The food was quite good though, which made the walk worthwhile. Ben, Matthew and I shared a pork knuckle and pork belly with lots of crackling. Emily and Bron shared some sausages. As I felt really guilty to make them walk so far, everyone even got desserts.
