Knights and Roses

We visited Sir Lancelot for dinner which is a medieval knight themed restaurant. The staff were all dressed in medieval clothing and there were knights, guillotines and swords everywhere. The boys also got to sit in royal seats with knights guarding them. We got a platter to share amongst all of us and it was a huge serving. It included skewers, chicken, pork, beef, ribs, chicken wings, coleslaw, cabbage, potatoes and pickles. It was a very impressive feast and the kids loved trying all the different foods. To keep with the medieval theme there were no forks and we had to use our fingers, which, needless to say was a great bonus for Matthew and Emily.

During the walking tour earlier we meet a mother and daughter from Wisconsin in the US. Like most Americans they were very chatty and friendly and pointed us to a gelato bar that shaped the ice cream as roses. We went there for dessert and the kids all got to pick 2 flavors each. The end result was very impressive. The advantage of having ice cream in sub zero temperature is that it doesn’t melt slower than you can eat it.
