Christmas Eve

The hotel had put on quite a few activities for the kids before dinner. They got to decorate their own Christmas tree, halfway through which Emily decided it was easier to be the tree than to decorate it. They also got to decorate their own Gingerbread cookies. We decided to save ours for Santa later in the night.

Santa’s helpers did a dance to some Christmas carols and then the big man finally made his appearance. He had presents for all the kids staying at the hotel and Matthew even took Thomas up to get his.

Dinner was meant to be a traditional Finnish Christmas dinner, however it seemed to be quite a generic buffet meal. They did have a magician who went table to table doing tricks. The boys were enthralled and Matthew even got to keep a magic con.
