Train to Oslo
It was an early start today as our train to Oslo departed at 8 from Bergen. We needed to be down for breakfast by 6.30 as a car was coming to collect us at 7. Needless to say, of all days, today was the one day all the kids decided to sleep in, including Matthew. We are nothing if not efficient and we were dressed, fed, packed and ready for the pickup at 7.

The station in Bergen is currently being redeveloped and we had to wait till 10 minutes before departure before they would let is on the platform. We were in the furthermost carriage which was also the dog friendly carriage. Not a great idea to have little kids in close proximity to dogs and apart from one dog barking at Matthew for jumping too close, there we no other incidents.

All three kids did incredibly well for a7 hour journey, spending the time watching the scenery, reading and playing games. We also found a kids carriage which had a little play area, which entertained them for only about 30 mins in all.
