Walking tour
Our guide Anna-Maria meet is at the hotel at 10 for a tour of Odense. Similar to other cities that base their existence on a celebrity, every thing in Odense is centred around Hans Christian Andersen.

In front of the hotel there were some carved posts, each depicting a different fairy tale. We walked down to Hans Christian Andersen’s house, which unfortunately was closed as it is a Monday. We then walked to the town centre and looked at more statutes. We also followed in HCAs footsteps. Throughout town there are red footprints that lead you to various locations that were part of US As life. This includes his house, school and even the river where his mum washed clothes.

Down by the river the kids got to feed the ducks and also some swooping seagulls. From there we walked to the cathedral of King Knud. It was a magnificent building with a spectacular organ. Luckily while we were there someone starting playing it and it sounded beautiful. We also went down to the crypt to see the remains of the King.
