Viking Museum
We drove from Copenhagen to Roskilde this morning to visit a Viking Ship Museum. It was a fascinating insight into the Vikings and how they travelled across Europe almost 1500 years ago. Apparently the Vikings sank about 5 ships and filled them with rocks to prevent attacks. 50 years ago the Danish government drained part off the river to recover these ships. The museum is where all the restored ships are displayed. They also had a kiss area where you could dress up as Vikings and defend your ship .
